Currently I am doing my post doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS). My work here involves on analyzing space-borne data such as from the recently launched Solar Orbiter satellite.

I obtained my Ph.D in physics from Indian Institute of Astrophysics, under the supervision of Prof. Dipankar Banerjee. My thesis title was "Multi-wavelength study of waves and Solar atmospheric magneto-seismology". You can download it from here.

I obtained my master's degree [2010-2012] in Physics from University of Burdwan, West Bengal. Apart from regular classical, quantum and statistical mechanics courses, I had a special course on Material science. Before my M.Sc. degree, I attended Durgapur Government College during 2007-2010 for my B.Sc. degree. I had Physics as the major subject along with Chemistry and Mathematics as optional.

•2024: Co-chair of the Solar Orbiter Remote sensing Science Working Group (RSWG) on Atmospheric Heating.
•2023: SOOP (Solar Orbiter Observing Plan) coordinator.
•2022: ESA appointed Science Planner for the NASA-led IRIS mission.
•2022: Co-Investigator (CoI) of Extreme-Ultraviolet Imager (EUI) telescope, on-board Solar Orbiter.
•2020: Best thesis presentation award by Astronomical Society of India (ASI).
•2019: U30 Scientist and Student award by Association of Asian Pacific Physical Societies-Division of Plasma Physics (AAPPS-DPP).
•2012: Qualified the CSIR-UGC NET examination (LS).
•2012: Qualified the GATE entrance test.
